Weight Loss Diets: The sooner you start on the path to reaching your weight loss goals the sooner you can enjoy all the benefits of better health and well-being from the reduction in body fat that you will be able to achieve.

If you have been considering a weight loss program for some time, or you have been on other weight loss programs in the past and have not succeeded to date, then today can be the day that you decide to change your way and give yourself improved health for the rest of your life.

Even the smallest change that you can make today will be the first step to a new you.

If nothing else, decide to drink enough water today to remain hydrated and accept that alone as your first step towards improving your health and reducing your weight to more acceptable levels where you can feel happy about your body.

Doing that today could be the breakthrough that you need to push yourself to better things.

Nobody even needs to know that you have started on a weight loss program because the change will be minimal and very often talking about doing something stops people from actually doing it. Energy can be wasted in words whereas action will change your life.

The fact that you are reading this information means that you have either taken action already or you are still anticipating taking the action that you know is needed. For your own health and well-being today is that day.

The quality of your life in the future can very well depend on weight loss diets and the action that you take right now.

Poorly Focused Diets

Poorly Focused Diets

Poorly Focused Diets

Many of the weight loss programs that have come out over recent years have had a very low success rate due to the fact that they have focused on the wrong techniques of healthy weight loss.

It is not just about losing weight and that is what some people don’t seem to understand.  It is about reducing the percentage of body fat and getting that to a more normal level.

Any diet that focuses purely on reducing weight without concern with the percentage of body fat and the nutritional needs of the body as a whole is setting itself up for disaster.

When you focus solely on reducing body weight you are also reducing, in many instances, the percentage of muscle in the body and that is one of the major components that helps to reduce body fat.

Muscle burns fat and the more muscle that you can retain the more fat you are going to burn so while a diet might for a short time help you to lose body weight if it is reducing muscle at the same time then the long-term effects will be that it will be become more and more difficult to reduce the percentage of fat.

The other problem with many of these fast diets and weight-loss programs is the fact that they reduce body weight so fast initially that the body’s defensive mechanisms are thrown into action.

The body will then begin to try to conserve as much body fat as possible to stop it from starving. You cannot effectively lose large amounts of body weight in a short amount of time and hope to keep it off unless the body believes it is getting all the nutrition it needs.

These ultra fast weight loss programs cause people to lose and then gain weight rapidly making it all the more difficult to lose weight the next time they try.

What It Means To Be On A Diet – That Awful Four Letter Word… Diet

Posted by Luck Charm Stu on March 19, 2010

The four letter word diet brings about all sorts of different emotions in people and more often than not those emotions tend to be negative.

Because to most people a diet is a struggle.

It is something that we would rather not have to do.

People only go on diets because they know it’s time to shed some weight and really do something about that weight before it hurts their health.
It is a choice made out of necessity.

As soon as you are on a diet you also become aware of the fact that one day you are going to be off it again and then exactly what do you expect will happen when you get off the diet that is helping you to shed weight?

Well most of the time people getting off a diet means in a week or two, reverting back to their former lifestyle and of course that is the same lifestyle that made them overweight in the first place.

What you really should be thinking is not so much about dieting but making lifestyle changes. Because lifestyle changes are something that you can continue with forever.

If you make lifestyle changes that result in healthy body weight then you will maintain that body weight for as long as you maintain that lifestyle.

It is not something that you will simply get off of after achieving a result. A lifestyle is a way that you intend to live for the long-term and that is how you will remain in good shape for the long-term.

How often do you hear people saying that they are on a diet? And the next minute you turn around and they are no longer on the diet.

Now what they should be saying is; I have made lifestyle changes and the result of those changes have been a reduction in body fat, an increase on my energy levels and an overall improvement in health.
That is what lifestyle changes can do for you and it is something that short-term diets rarely achieve.

I have reviewed three diet plans that I think will help anyone to start losing weight fast but don’t start any of these without keeping in mind what I said about lifestyle changes.

Find Your Fat Point

Posted by Luck Charm Stu on March 12, 2010

Many people have long held the mistaken belief that everybody has a particular fat point where their body realizes that this is the level of fat that is normal to that particular person.
This is not true and we all develop our own fat point based on our lifestyles.

While there are various different body types that are determined by our genes the percentage of fat that we carry around in our body is not due to the genes that we have inherited. It is due to the food that we have been eating from the beginning of our life to the stage where we are at presently.

If you have been over eating for a long period of time and you have remained at a specific fat percentage for quite some time then that becomes your new fat point. And that can change up or down according to the lifestyle that you choose to lead.

If you have remained at a particular fat point for a year or two then your body will develop all the necessary requirements in the form of capillaries, connective tissues, hormonal levels and so on to support that point.

You have determined what that point is and your body will now try to maintain the new level.

Your body will constantly monitor that new fat point by all the messages that are sent to the brain. If you are to go on a crash diet your body will react to the fact that it sees an attack on that fat point and will do all it can to maintain what it believes is the correct balance. The maintenance can be in the form of a reduction in muscle tissue to save fat.

Unfortunately for many people they don’t like to accept the fact that it is not their genes or anything else that has resulted in their fat point being too high.

Enjoying Your Weight Loss

Posted by Luck Charm Stu on March 12, 2010

Weight loss doesn’t have to be something that you dread every day of the week.

You should be eating good healthy food that doesn’t leave you feeling starved although initially you might feel that way as you change from the bulk poor quality food that you’ve been eating to smaller portions of better quality food.

It can take time to your body to adjust and one of the best ways to help out in this situation is to drink more water.

Most people realize that exercise is one of the best ways of losing weight although there are a lot of people who are reluctant to exercise for one reason or another.

For those people who are obese it can be quite difficult to exercise although there are forms of exercise their can cater to virtually anybody.

Swimming biking and walking are three very good low impact forms of exercise that can improve your fitness and reduce your body weight.
They can speed up your metabolism and help you to burn fat and swimming in particular is very good for people who are overweight to the extent that they find walking difficult.

Recently Nordic walking has become a lot more popular and this is a particularly good form of exercise for two reasons.

Firstly by using the poles when you are walking you are using a lot more of your upper body muscles for the exercise and in doing so this helps to burn more calories than walking without them.

The other benefit of using the poles when walking is the fact that it takes a lot of the stress off your knees and hips and this can be a godsend for over sized people who find that their joints take quite a hammering when walking due to their weight.

Is no wonder that Nordic walking is becoming one of the most popular forms of exercise throughout the country.

Why You Can’t Seem To Lose Weight

Posted by Luck Charm Stu on March 5, 2010

Why Can't I Lose Weight

You may have asked this question of yourself a few times and you’ve probably also heard
many other people ask the same thing… “why can’t I seem to lose weight?”

The simple fact that you’re here shows that you are still looking for ways
to find your optimum body weight.

If after trying many different diets and weight loss programs and not getting the results you had hoped for,
you might begin to think that you’re a failure, but the reality of the situation is that those diets and weight loss programs have been the failures and not yourself.

They have failed to give you the desired results, not because of a lack of effort on your behalf,
but more likely because they weren’t targeting the exact cause of the problem.

Today it seem’s that many diets and weight loss programs leave people feeling hungry for
considerable times throughout the day and this is not how we are supposed to live and why you “snack” now and then.

Just as the animals in the wild know it’s time to eat when they are hungry humans react in the
same way and it is only natural that you should seek out food when you’re feeling hungry.

If your diet is supplying you have sufficient nutrients to meet your energy needs then you
won’t feel hungry all the time. Now any weight loss program that keeps you in some state
of hunger is, in fact, destined to fail eventually no matter how much willpower you might have.

Being hungry all the time is simply not the natural state of human life.

That is one of the most common reasons why people can’t seem to lose weight. It’s just too
hard to maintain if you are hungry and your body will fight against that
starvation message and actually start storing fat!

Anybody can lose weight whether they have good willpower or not provided the body is
getting sufficient nutritional requirements to eliminate hunger and to satisfy healthy functioning of the body,
which includes drinking plenty of fresh water.

If you are serious about losing weight and want to do it quickly, then right now visit my Best Diet Plans Reviewed You’ll find three diets reviewed there that are fast, healthy and won’t leave you hungry.
